Having contacted the suppler of my MS509 and described the connection problem, they acknowledged that there is a "bad batch", to use their words, and they have recalled devices with the problem. I wonder how many more out there are suffering ?

S60VWTRAN jroman here. May I ask where you got your MS509 from and what your supplier will do for you. I'm starting to believe that the Scanner I purchased from TMART may be a blackmarket knockoff. If you look under tool information is your S/N MS505245?

Hi JROMAN - My S/n is the same as yours i.e. 505245. I purchased mine from a UK supplier named "Beat The Garage" www.beatthegarage.com. They have acknowledged their awareness by saying "Sorry about this, there seems to be an issue with current batches of these. If you could return it to us along with a copy of this message and your contact number I can check it over our end and then sort it out. Thanks Dave" . So I have done what they asked and await the outcome with interest. As the item was bought through E-Bay I am reasonably happy that if it all goes to worms I will get my money back.

One thing I did notice that made me somewhat suspicious was that there was a spelling mistake on one of the screens where the word "Module" was spelt "Moulde" . If that had been a bottle of Vodka then our trading standards would be on it like a rash!

S60VWTRAN Have done a little more investigating and find that pins 10,11,12,13 on the scanner side of scanner to usb cable make no connection on the scanner pcb. There is no way that when plugged into usb port of a computer that the OS would see any activity. Thats why we don't get a screen message that new hardware found. We must have the wrong scanner to usb cable. Can anyone with a working cable/scanner post the correct pinout?

Hi ,guys, I have talked to our sales... We stoped to produce this MS509 for a long time... And we are out of stock right now..I am afraid some small factories are cloning this popular product.....
